Konami hints at Metal Gear Solid 4 remaster

Konami has been hinting at a remastered Metal Gear Solid 4, releasing Master Collection Vol. 1 earlier this year, which included the first three games in the series.

Since the version containing the first trilogy is called Vol.1, we will naturally get Vol.2, which contains the rest of the parts, starting with Metal Gear Solid 4, but Konami has recently started hinting at a remaster of the aforementioned part.

Speaking to the website, IGN Konami producer Noriaki Okamura was asked about the possibility of seeing a new MGS4 version, as he did not directly confirm any of this news, but he said that players should stay alert for any expected announcement from Konami, as he mentioned that we may see the game in the Vol.2 version or we may see it separately. He stated:

“You have to connect the dots and gather evidence if you know what I mean, I can't reveal or talk about anything at the moment, but don't worry, stay alert!”

Metal Gear Solid 4 was released on PlayStation 3 in 2008 and since then the game has been stuck on Sony's device without any re-release or enhanced version on any platform released since then. But perhaps the time has come for us to see it on many devices outside the PlayStation 3 prison where it has remained for more than 15 years now.

Currently, all eyes are on MGS Delta, which has been reviewed more than once, in addition to Silent Hill 2 Remake, which will be released next October on PlayStation 5 and PC.

Do you think Konami will announce any new versions of other old games? Share with us below in the comments section.
